Arevia Power has signed a landmark power purchase agreement with NV Energy for the largest solar energy and battery storage project in Nevada, valued at over $2.3 billion. The Libra Solar project, expected to be operational by 2027, will feature a 700 MW solar system paired with a 700 MW battery storage system, producing 1,948,000 MWh annually. Located near Yerington, the project will span 5,141 acres, create 1,100 jobs, and generate significant economic benefits, including $170 million in taxes. The project underscores Nevada’s commitment to renewable energy, supported by labor from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and benefiting from renewable energy tax credits. This initiative reflects a significant step towards a sustainable future, enhancing Nevada’s energy landscape and economic growth.
