Arevia Power has signed a landmark power purchase agreement with NV Energy for the largest solar energy and battery storage project in Nevada, valued at over $2.3 billion. The Libra Solar project, expected to be operational by 2027, will feature a 700 MW solar system paired with a 700 MW battery storage system, producing 1,948,000 MWh annually. Located near Yerington, the project will span 5,141 acres, create 1,100 jobs, and generate significant economic benefits, including $170 million in taxes. The project underscores Nevada’s commitment to renewable energy, supported by labor from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and benefiting from renewable energy tax credits.
