The 2016 Gunnison Valley Housing Needs Assessment identified an urgent need for workforce housing. In response to the significant workforce housing needs in the county, Gatesco proposed the Corner at Brush Creek as a compact density, transit and trail-oriented development near Crested Butte, CO.
Triple Point conducted market research to model the demand for the proposed development. Forecasts of future housing supply and economic growth showed how the demand for housing supply will increase through 2040. Modelling future supply and demand provides for more informed decisions, allowing the negative impacts to be minimized and benefits to be maximized.
In the City of Gunnison, Triple Point facilitated community outreach and forecasted housing demand growth through 2025 for an affordable housing development. Gatesco’s Rock Creek proposal was selected and the Paintbrush Apartments were very successfully developed.
