Gunnison County Library District

In order to make informed business planning and future development decisions, the Gunnison County Library District has retained Triple Point for strategic planning support for market research and economic forecasting.

A baseline financial model and pro forma model will forecast different operating scenarios to improve business development. Variable tax revenue streams resulting from Tabor and Gallagher will be important considerations.

Triple Point is also advising the District on voter research as it seeks to understand public opinion of various business development scenarios mentioned above. The District has retained to Magellan Strategies to conduct a poll of the Gunnison County electorate to understand patron opinions and evaluate the potential for passing a mill levy increase on the November 2019 ballot.

Triple Point provides pro forma development and market research analysis for program development decisions on an ongoing basis.

Jeff created a pro forma budget for our special district in 2019 that ran through 2023. The budget predicted the operating costs of a to-be-built 15,000 square foot building, three new FTE, and a significantly altered operating budget. The pro forma was within $60,000 of our actual 2023 budget. In a nearly $2 million budget with significant unknowns Triple Point’s forecast was within 0.3% of actual. Triple Point gave us very accurate information for decision making.
