In 2024, Triple Point conducted a regional rental market study as supporting material for Colorado Local Planning Capacity and More Housing Now grant applications which were both awarded to the client.
In 2025, Triple Point teamed with Western Spaces, Proximity Green, and Dynamic Planning + Science to do the work necessary to develop affordable housing in the Lake Fork Valley, including one specific project on city owned land. Separately, Dynamic Planning + Science was hired to conduct architectural, engineering and design work for the site. The team is proud to be working towards the successful development of housing beyond assessing the needs, which is significant.
The 2024 study featured a unique and in-depth analysis of CHFA rent maximums in comparison to detailed cost of living data from the University of Washington’s Center for Women’s Welfare. The results show that affordability is very sensitive to the number of income earners in a household and household structure. In some cases, households with 120 percent AMI income are realistically only able to afford housing at the 65 percent AMI level, bringing into question the conventional assumption that all households can allocate 30 percent of their budget to housing.
